Aila in the Mind Palace

"I’m… still here…"

Aila is not really enjoying herself. In fact it has always been this way… or at least as long as she can remember…

It’s not that she can’t be happy, it’s just that she cannot feel the same kind of happiness other kids could, playing and having fun. Aila is very special, you see, some people can tap into the contents of their mind in a remarkable way: The Mind Palace. A personal space inside your mind, made by your memories, experiences and feelings altogether, woven by your will. People with a Mind Palace can explore its contents and remember things from even decades ago and even relive moments they cherish… and yet… Aila can’t enter a section of her mind palace, the section of her happiest moments, where she had fun. Something prevents her from remembering.

She will find out, though, that she is about to unveil this mystery for some acquaintances of hers also possess a Mind Palace of their own and are struggling with some aspects of their memory… and that’s where Aila shows her other great gift: Her Mind Palace can be connected to that of others, making it possible for her to enter theirs and interfere with their thoughts or experiences herself.

Clearing up those memories suddenly helps her recover some of her own. Maybe she can find out the truth after all...

Expected features:

• Various platforming levels and puzzles based on character’s personalities
• Different routes and endings based on choices made throughout the game
• Relationship based levels. Being friendly with the person with a Mind Palace may ease your way to the end. The opposite may be true, too.

A few known issues

Collider inconsistency, some displaced animations, sometimes moving animation while in dialogue,  not many ways to fight back...
